Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri has been a popular Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s the actress began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab, in which she starred with an established actor Anil Kapooor. The next time she appeared on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. When she was a kid she began developing her skills at a young age. At the age of 16 she started acting, and suffered for several years because most of her first films were failures. Eventually she became one the biggest actresses of Indian films. She decided to take a break from her profession after her wedding before returning to the world of entertainment. Recently, she had an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women across India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India awarded to Dixit. She is also recognized for her charity work.
